World festival of animation ANIMAFEST in Zagreb will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. Festival will be held from May 29th until June 3rd and will be the very place where a lot of excellent films will be screened, within the attractive competition program, as well as a whole string of programs of international and Croatian productions celebrating previous ANIMAFEST winners.

Within special programme entitled ‘Animation, Music, Sound’ at recently closed international festival of animated film ANIMATEKA 2011 in Ljubljana, Slovenia (5-11. decembar), artistic director of the Animanima festival Milen Alempijevic presented a lecture 'Jazz & Animated Film' and, as a curator, the screening under the very same title.
