YAMAMURA FOR KIDS
Date: Sunday, September 11th
Venue: Grand Hall
Time: 12:00 am
Watching Koji Yamamura's children's films, it is easy to conclude that they deal with the two sides of the same thing: by telling stories about children using an adorable visual language, Koji chooses exciting themes and landscapes, inspiring them with a life of unique, recognizable visual expression and poetics. Koji's world of imagination knows no boundaries. To enter this world means to embark on fantastic adventures. As lucky breaks and mishaps unravel through extraordinary stories, such as the one in which a lift decides not to stop and continues to plunge into an unknown world, or the other one where a boy and his little sister learn the secrets hidden inside a mysterious book. Witty, entertaining and edifying in the series of films about the bird Karo who is always up to something extraordinary, playful and childishly curious like Raul, the small alligator who resolves dilemmas in his own childish way, Koji inevitably and unmistakably finds a way to the youngest spectators.
