As a newcomer with an unusual nickname ‘Zucchini’, he becomes an easy prey for the local bully in the orphanage. Although his alcoholic mother had left him only the nickname, and despite his childhood overshadowed with tragedy and loneliness, Zucchini never lost his spirits. He will soon learn that the other children in the orphanage had had similar traumatic experiences, but this will eventually help himself and his friends realise that misfortune does not have to be an ultimate definition of a lifetime, and this message inevitably applies to all of us.
