Filmed on 16mm film, this visual expression is rooted in archival materials, drawing its inspiration from a poem by Hans Magnus Enzensberger, which appears in the film. It speaks of forgotten people, their lives and their deeds. These two Archives were found at a flea market in Zagreb. One is of a famous architect and the other of a famous composer. The film ponders on this occurrence, as well as on the vanishing and forgetfulness of humans.

His CGI graduation short entitled AH (codirected with Simon Moreau and Joris Bacquet) was about a little girl who gazes into her hot alphabet soup, then plunges in to find a surreal landscape of alphabet letters in a world of naughty kids. Bastien Dubois is a keen traveler, it was after he hitch hiked from the north of France to Istanbul that he had the idea of making an animated travel log. His first independent film Madagascar, a Journey Diary was based on a one year trip to the big red island.

Zurich-born Dustin Rees (1981) grew up in the UK before returning to Switzerland in 1991. Following his love for animation he graduated at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU) in 2007. Sam and Fred Guillaume were born on October 7, 1976 in Friborg (Switzerland). They embarked on animation in 1998 by directing their first film The Little Penguin Who Wanted Ice Cream. Enthused by this first experience, the two brothers decide to make it their profession and make commissioned films, commercials, scientific films and short films. From 2003 to 2007, it was the adventure of the first feature film with Max & Co (CH-F-B-UK) which was distributed in more than 20 countries and notably won the audience award at the Annecy festival. Sander Joon uses animation to create surreal worlds with a dash of humour. His films have previously travelled to festivals such as Annecy, DOK Leipzig, Ottawa, Go Short, Stuttgart, Fredrikstad, Kaboom, Supertoon, Animateka and GLAS. He has attended the Open Workshop artist residency in Viborg twice and is now teaching animation at the Estonian Academy of Arts, where he has received a master’s degree in animation.

A lonely fisherman has a magical goldfish, who granted him three wishes. He already used two wishes to help others in need. Now he is facing a grave decision; after accidentally killing a stranger, he has to choose whether to keep his last wish and stay a murderer. Or to use it to save a stranger’s life, but in doing so he will lose the only thing that truly matters, his friend.

Galia Osmo is a director and animator based in Tel- Aviv. Her professional path began at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem with a Bachelor’s in industrial design. She later completed a post-graduate in Film and Television Studies at Tel Aviv University. During her studies, Galia created short films, which screened in festivals in Israel and around the world and on several TV channels.

Wilson Borja was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1980. After graduating as a graphic designer in 2003, he has been creating images for magazines and books for more than ten years. In animation, he has collaborated as concept artist and character designer for TV and film projects. He graduated from the Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art program at the University of Arkansas after earning a Fulbright scholarship in 2011. Currently, he teaches illustration and animation courses in the graphic design program at Universidad Nacional de Colombia.

Nata Metlukh is an animation artist based in San Francisco. She was born and raised in Ukraine. She studied animation at Vancouver Film School, and film direction at Estonian Academy of Arts under the Priit Pärn supervision.
