The Red Turtle is a story of a castaway on a tropical desert island populated only by turtles, crabs and birds. His every attempt to escape on makeshift raft is obstructed by a mysterious red turtle… Without a single sentence of a dialogue, this animated allegory tells a simple, yet highly emotional story of creating a life worth living, filled with love and respect. The Red Turtle is the winner of numerous awards, including the special award of the jury in the category Un Certain Regard at the Cannes film festival, as well as the Crystal for the best animated feature at the film festival in Annecy.
