  • Lea Vidakovic (Serbia)

    Lea Vidakovic is multidisciplinary artist, animator and scholar who works in the field of animated installations, utilizing traditional puppet animation. She graduated from the Academy of Arts in Zagreb, Croatia (2011), animation from HVO, Norway (2010) and an MA of audio-visual arts from the Royal Academy of Art - KASK, Belgium (2012). Currently she is a PhD candidate at Nanyang Technological University, School of Art, Design and Media in Singapore, with research interest in fragmented storytelling and new narrative approaches for animated installations. She has exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions and 200+ international animation festivals, where both her films and artworks received numerous awards. She is a member of HDLU (Croatian Association of Artists), SULUV (Association of Artists from Vojvodina) and SAS (Society of Animation Studies). Lea lives and works between Singapore, Serbia and Zurich.

  • Pavel Horáček (Czech Republic)

    Pavel Horáček was born in České Budějovice, Czech Republic. He graduated in Film History and Audiovisual Culture from Masaryk University in Brno, devoting his thesis to means of expression and specific animation techniques, namely in Czech animated films. For three years, he worked as programme director at the AniFest International Festival of Animated Films in Teplice. Since 2013 Pavel has been working as IFAF Anifilm programme director in Třeboň. He is an initiator and dramaturge of the internet portal aniont.com, freely presenting authorial works of animation. He has curated three DVD anthologies of Czech animation, released by the Institute of Czech Animation. He was also the catalogue editor for Jiří Trnka’s Studio exhibition. He prepares special programmes of animated films for institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad. Pavel occasionally writes about film and animation, and is a jury member of various international festivals.

  • Piotr Kardas (Poland)

    Piotr Kardas (1984), initiator and director of O!PLA - THE FESTIVAL OF POLISH ANIMATION and ANIMATION ACROSS BORDERS. Co-creator and programme director of CRAFT International Animation Festival in Yogyakarta (Java, Indonesia). Coordinator of Polish edition of StopTrik International Film Festival. Curator, juror (Belarus, Brazil, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain), initiator and coordinator of various cultural and artistic projects.
    He studied Film Theory and New Media (University of Lodz). In 2010 - 2012 he working for Se-ma-for Film Production as a distributor and Se-ma-for Film Foundation as an initiator and coordinator of special events (i.a. Se-Ma-For European/Asian Express 2011: Beijing/Madrid/Tokio/Paris) and a program director of two first editions of Se-Ma-For Film Festival (2010/2011). Initiator and coordinator of Animation Section & Competition at ARS INDEPENDENT International Film Festival in Katowice, Poland (2012) and SCARY PUPPETS & SEXY DOLLS (2010-), among others. In 2008 – 2010 he was a program & art director in one of the most famous arthouse cinema in Poland - Charlie Cinema in Lodz. Permanently cooperates with several festivals and institutions all around the world.
